Northerner - Fusing artwork accessories with classic menswear.
In our latest lookbook, we collaborated with Blugiallo to showcase timeless looks in classic menswear fused with artwork accessories from R. Culturi. The thoughtfully selected pieces present a harmony of color, pattern, design, and materials - using a mix of suits, jackets, neckties, and pocket squares.
Each ensemble is deeply rooted in classic menswear, yet presented with a bold touch in limited measure. With R. Culturi’s forte in designing artwork, and Blugiallo’s in made-to-measure tailoring with a personal touch - the Northerner lookbook presents a refreshing look at classic ensembles revitalized.
No. 1: Brown Cashmere.
This look is emphasized by earthy tones. A combination of muted tones using pattern and texture provide a stark contrast to the creamy whites (trousers and shirt) - without overpowering one another. A pop of color is provided by the pocket square, adding playful flair to a mildly restrained ensemble.

No. 2: White Silk.
The focus is on the details here. A simple insignia, caught by a detailed eye but unbeknownst to others. A classic mix of grey and white makes for an effortless pairing in this ensemble. A restrained addition of color is accomplished with a silk-twill tie, providing tones of blue against a cream base. All three pieces, in harmony, form a timeless, elegant, and classic look.

No. 3: Navy Birdseye.
Without a doubt, the most versatile color to have in a wardrobe. Navy. Easily paired with other colors, and even easier to wear without decision fatigue. In this look, progressive tones of navy are balanced by the addition of grey. The limited use of color on the pocket square provides a break from the monotony. For a more formal occasion, replace it with a white silk square instead.

No. 4: Charcoal Grey.
A staple classic menswear color. Charcoal grey. This look may look simple, but there are particular details in the construction that add a touch of elegance. Bellied lapels, belt-less pleated trousers with side adjusters, and a less aggressive barchetta breast pocket enhance its presence. A bold pattern on the tie frames the entire ensemble to draw in attention towards the face - providing a sense of visual acuity.

No. 5: Denim & Brown.
Casual and unassuming. This unstructured cotton jacket in a mid-brown is perfect spring/summer piece. Details like pick stitching on a slightly bellied 3-roll-2 lapel makes this a piece to proudly don. The denim pique polo provides a contrasting tone to enhance the casual essence of this look. A three-button placket showcasing “Zampa di Gallina,” or crow’s feet stitching provides for some Neapolitan flair, along with a sweeping collar roll that remains sound. A dose of color is infused with an elegantly folded pocket square.

No. 6: Textured Tweed.
A Winter staple. Tweed’s slubby texture adds visual interest without an excess of color or pattern. Adding layers of woolens and knits under a jacket in muted tones, balanced by a contrasting pair of trousers provides a resounding effect. Add a bit of color with a pocket square for a playful touch.
